Learned that Hermes never used a local LLM. Spent significant time attempting to utilize a local LLM, checking Mac Mini prices, and researching what Connect AI PC was, though he already had a superior PC. Ultimately decided to give up on the local LLM setup to focus on learning. On the morning of 6/13, consulted Gemini for the most cost-effective approach. Since studying and learning are the primary goals, Gemini suggested sticking with the Google free tier instead of investing in a new PC.
Connect AI Learning and Setup
Installed the Connect AI extension to explore its potential for a one-man company setup. Resolved GitHub configuration issues with assistance from Antigravity. Modified the extension code to bypass the local LLM requirement, enabling the use of other features via the Google API free tier.
